As Airlines around the world such as AirAsia, Vietnam Air and Air France adopt the TOEIC® tests to hire, recruit and promote their personnel, Aeronautical Colleges in the Philippines must prepare to equip their graduates with both the soft skills and technical skills required to compete in today’s global workforce. PATTS College of Aeronautics becomes the first Aeronautical College in Manila to ensure quality education and anticipate global workforce readiness by using the TOEIC® tests.

The TOEIC® tests are taken by nearly 7 million candidates in 150 countries and the scores are accepted by 14,000 organizations.  Using the world’s leading Workforce English test is a clear signal that PATTS College of Aeronautics is committed to delivering quality education that meets both local and international trends.

Through the leadership of College President Jose Eduardo S. Valdez, 135 PATTS Professors took the TOEIC tests on August 8. The results were encouraging as 99% of the Professors who took the tests stated that they understood the value of their TOEIC score. In addition, PATTS Professor, Adonis Marquez got a near-perfect TOEIC® score of 980 over a total of 990 points in the test.

As the world looks towards international standardization and globalization, colleges such as PATTS are taking the lead to ascertain that their graduates meet the demands of the 21st century.  It is clear that a PATTS Education will stand for quality learning that addresses the increasing global challenges that the future holds.
